It all depends on what you're trying to catch!
Since the Pier is open all night, it's a great spot to try your luck when shark fishing! These fish are moving a lot every few days.
Same fish… Me with the fish… After this we hooked up on a double. Look for the trout to make a massive move to outer bays and back canals immediately. Keeper redfish have been hit or miss in terms of catching fish in the slot.
It did not have to be treated, nor did it shrink, because it was grown in the swamps. If you are a fly fishermen come and get your fish of a lifetime with us.
We are catching trout and keeper redfish as well. I hopped on the smaller fish and boated it fairly quickly.
Sharks are night feeders, so you'll generally get the best results fishing from sundown to sunup. We are catching most of our fish on gulp on the bottom or under a cork. We messed around for another 35 minutes or so and headed home.

Open at all times, there is no fee to access the pier and the best part is that avid and amateur fisherman alike can fish from the pier without a fishing license. Next day came quickly.
If you wish to surf cast from the beach, you will need a Florida license. Spinnerbaits and swimbaits have been the best. Plenty of fish in the 20 to 30 pound range eating topwater poppers and mullet imitation flies.
